Red and Green Debate

This is a great activity, and it will help your students develop new ideas on different subjects.

Make some red and green flashcards and ask your students to select one of them, write some affirmations on the board.
If they got the red card they will have to go against the affirmation and if they selected the green card they will have to defend it. This game can be done in pairs, or full circle with all the students. They will have a lot of fun coming up with arguments to support their case.

    Suggested affirmations:

  • Video games cause bad behavior in children.
  • Mobile phones should be banned in schools.
  • Junk food should be banned from schools.
  • Thanks to social networking, there is no face-to-face interaction.
